|C-BAR-RJ GENESIS A31
We purchased Genesis A31 as the high selling bull at the C-Bar February 27, 2014 Bull Sale. The catalog quote for the bull was "One of the most exciting young herd sire prospects of the season, Genesis offers breed-muscle and performance with a flawless phenotype. He already was named the Reserve Junior Bull Calf Champion at the National Red Angus show in Ft. Worth. Due to his outstanding first progeny, Evolution is fast becoming the talk of the breed..." Subsequently Genesis was Division Champion at the National Western Stock Show in early 2015.
In October of 2015 Genesis was crowned Grand Champion bull in the Northern International Livestock Exposition (NILE) National Red Angus Show.
On January 11, 2016 Genesis was named the Reserve Grand Champion bull at the National Western Stock Show. This show in Denver is not called the “Granddaddy of them all” for nothing. The competition was stiff but Genesis showed like the Champion he is. We are very proud of Genesis and our compliments go out to Steve Meier at C-Bar Ranch for breeding, raising, and showing such a top quality animal. His feet, structural correctness, and phenotype are all impressive as are his calm and quiet disposition. His first progeny are impressive although he was used lightly as a 2 year old.

He is currently the #1 Gridmaster sire in the Red Angus breed. Pacesetter is now at Select Sires where he is being collected for future semen sales. We raised the Rhodes Titonka Z721 bull. He was a standout from the time he was a young calf. He has been at work in the Ludvigson Program in Montana and now resides at ABS global. We still have his dam and she is a wonderful cow. Titonka has sired numerous high selling progeny and his progeny have been tested as being strong in feed efficiency. He is a moderate size bull that puts growth and added mass in his calves. And, his EPD profile is strong and balanced.
|PHoto Coming Soon!||Loosli right Kind 166
*SEMEN IS AVAILABLE
We acquired Right Kind 166 from Pieper's in the fall of 2016. All Right is a proven producer with many of his progeny being at the top of their bull sales. He was available due to the numberous daughters now in the Pieper herd and Mark reports them to be top females with excellent udders and dispositions. The Buffalo Creek Right Kind U199 sons are making big noises in the Red Angus industry and All Right is as good as any of them. We feel fortunate to have acquired this top herd sire and look forward to his future progeny.
| LSF NIGHT CALVER 9921W
|Night Calver is sired by the breed leader Messmer Packer S008 and out of a Big Sky R9 daughter from the Della cow family going back to the Lancer F442T bull. He is the product of blending several breed impact herd sires. We purchased Night Calver in the spring of 2011 where he was the lead bull in Ludvigson's sale. He has a good temperament and is a moderate sized bull.
In March of 2013 a Night Calver son topped the Ludvigson's sale at $75,000 going to Pitchfork T Ranch of Oregon and Lakeview Cattle Company of Idaho. Night Calver is a calving ease specialist without sacrificing growth and strong carcass characteristics. Check out this 50K enhanced EPDs and you will be impressed. His sons and daughters are found in many top Red Angus herds in the country.
Below are some quotes from the Ludvigson 2013 Semen Catalog. "Night Calver had one of the most balanced individual performances of any bull that we have ever produced." It further states "Night Calver is siring low birth weight calving ease cattle that have incredible look with deep dark red coat color and structural correctness. In our pens of herd bull prospects and replacement females the Night Calver calves are rising to the top and are easily found from a phenotypic standpoint. This five star calving ease bull ranks in the top 2% for calving ease direct and the top 1% for birthweight while being quite competitive for growth, milk, reproduction and carcass."
Unfortunately we lost Night Calver in 2016 so don't wait too long to get semen. Semen is available through Ludvigson's as they are marketing the bull. If you desire to contact us we will help you make semen purchase arrangements.
|HXC TOOL TIME 1102Y
|Tool Time was our choice at the Hueftle Sale in March 2012. This P707 son has top notch calving ease, growth, and marbling epds. His Herdbuider and Gridmaster ratings are in the top percentiles. He provides calving ease without sacrificing growth and carcass qualities.|
|His ratio of 113 for IMF and REA is superior as is his 16.9 REA. He is a moderate framed, dark red bull with a huge libido. The genetics and performance of this bull are an exciting combination. His bull and heifer calves have been quite popular. His dam is a full sister to Jackhammer and goes back to the Renowned Jolene 301N cow.|
||Red Brylor B.Ag Kodiak 600A
|RED LAZY MC OPTIC spy 100A
|Optic 100A was purchased as the second high selling bull at the March 15, 2014 Lazy MC Bull Sale in Brooks, Alberta, Canada. Optic is a son of the Red Lazy MC Eye Spy 64Y bull that was the National Champion in Denver in 2012. Optic is backed by very strong cow families on both sides of his pedigree. His paternal great grand-dam, 47R, has made embryos sold around the world. His calves are impressive.|
|Rhodes W384 Top Shelf Z10
|Top Shelf is sired by Bieber Roosevelt W384. On the dam side he is the last natural calf of our Basin Primrose 72T8 Donor cow. 72T8 was a daughter of the Primrose 2043 donor cow at Bieber's with 100 progeny on her record. Again, another bull with very strong cow families in his pedigree. Top Shelf is dark red and very attractive phenotypically. 50K enhanced epds have good balance and everything about this sire points to him being a "cow-maker" deluxe.|
|Black Brylor Kodiak 204Y
Reg # 1659021
Kodiak 204Y is a black red carrier Canadian bull. We purchased an interest in this bull through the JKC dispersal and are now one of 10 owners in the bull. Kodiak was bred and raised at the Brylor Ranch near Pincher Creek, Alberta Canada and was originally syndicated in 2012. He is the son of the HF Kodiak 5R bull that sold for $150,000 in Denver to a group of owners including Eby Ranch in Emporia, Kansas, and is viewed by some as the best black bull in Canada right now.
204Y's dam is the breed legend Red Fine Line Lakme 70M cow that many have proclaimed to be the best ever New Trend 22 daughter. She has a very distinguished record as a donor cow.
|LSF CONQUEROR 0026X

|PARINGA IRON ORE E27
We have ownership in this Australian bull through an interest in Paringa Livestock Genetics. ABS is marketing semen globally.
|Messmer Packer S008
Packer puts together an excellent combination of Marbling and Muscle. We owned a small percentage of the bull. He was the number one semen seller at Genex in the past and has been among the top sellers for many years. He is very moderate and easy fleshing and has been a major influence in the red angus breed. We have a number of his daughters in the herd and he is the sire of our Night Calver bull. Packer is now deceased and GENEX is out of semen.
